My monsters aren't the boogie man hiding in your closet or under the bed
My monsters call themselves human they wear a mask to cover up the guilty face
the lies that come out of the sharply pointed smiles that convince you to trust them
You're convinced that they are human but their actions become your worst nightmare
They were once the ones you have trusted with secrets
But they use that against you to get inside of you and they flip
Against you and make you the monster
But then again I guess we are all monsters
